Product Description

Marine anchors mainly consist of anchor crown, pin shaft, anchor claw, anchor handle, anchor rod (also known as crossbar or stabilizer rod), and anchor shackle.

1.Throwing method for the marine anchor
(1) There are two types of bow throwing anchor : throwing single anchor and throwing double anchor.In general,just throwing a single anchor can be used to secure the ship, Only when the wind and waves are particularly strong and the anchorage is too narrow, it need throw the double anchors.
The bow throwing anchor is the main method of throw anchor for berthing, and it is also the main reason why the main anchor is arranged at the bow of the ship.
(2) Throwing Anchor at the stern is commonly used for inland vessels and landing boats. When inland vessels are sailing downstream and berthing, they often use stern throwing anchor to ensure safety and avoid turning around.
(3) Throwing anchor at the bow and stern,When the ship is subjected to cycles of rising and falling tides, and the moving water area is restricted, and in certain special circumstances, it is used.
2.The type for the marine anchor:
(1) Stocked anchors - Anchors with crossbars are stocked anchors (admiralty anchors, single fluke anchors, Japanese stocked anchors, etc.).
(2) Stockless anchors - without crossbar and two jaw anchor with rotating anchor claws. (Hall anchor, Spek anchor, tail wing anchor, AC-14 anchor, DA-1 anchor)
(3) HHP(High Holding Power anchor) - (Stockless: AC-14 anchor, DA-1 anchor, Stocked: Matrosov or Stevin anchor, Danforth anchor,etc.).
(4) Special anchors.
